Luxury self-catering holiday home ideal for groups of friends and large families

Abercynafon Farm Barn - Rhiannon & NickOur barn accommodation near Talybont-on-Usk in the Brecon Beacons National Park is a great place for a get-together for groups – family or friends – who love the tranquillity of unspoilt countryside, outdoor activities and amazing dark skies for stargazing. There are mountains, waterfalls just up the road and lots of great cycling and hill-walking straight from the front door.

The 19th Century Grade II-listed converted barn has been lovingly restored into self-catering holiday accommodation with great care and attention to detail. It is spacious, well-equipped, warm and welcoming.

Owners Rhiannon and Nick (pictured) live in the farmhouse next door – they're on hand if you need anything but the barn has its own access and garden so it's totally private

Beautiful accommodation in a stunning location... and plenty to do all year round!

Abercynafon Farm Barn is four miles from Talybont-on-Usk with its village shop / cafe, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and four pubs (one of them Camra award-winning). Brecon, Crickhowell, Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye are all within half an hour's drive.

But you don't have to venture that far. The peaks of the Brecon Beacons, The peaceful Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal and the beautiful Blaen y Glyn waterfalls and Talybont Reservoir are, quite literally, on our doorstep.

If you fancy shopping our local towns are home to quirky individual shops, cafes, book shops, art galleries, crafts and farmers’ markets.

Hungry or thirsty? You'll find fantastic real ale pubs and restaurants nearby whose menus are packed with food from local producers.

There’s loads of things to do all year round and on rainy days – we’re within easy reach of castles, museums, theatres, steam railways, country houses, playbarns, adventure centres and underground show caves. Wales’ capital city, Cardiff, with its many attractions, is under an hours’ drive or train ride away.
